Fangguang Temple has the farthest distance from the South Mountain Town, people always yearn for visiting the scenery, while it is difficult to walk and tour, therefore the number of tourists is relatively small, it still preserves the plain style until now. There are many historical sites in Fangguang Temple, in the surrounding area, there is an area of millennium primitive secondary forest, on the right, situated the Two Oracles Ancestral Temple which was built in Ming Dynasty, along the river, there is the Buddhist¡¯ Clothes Washing Pond, and the Buddhist¡¯ Clothes Mending Stone. Walking up along the gully river in front of the temple, the gully stones slopes, and the water flowing over them is deep green which can reflect the shadow of people.
 The deep of Fangguang Temple in one of the ¡°Four Best Sceneries of South Mountain¡± is located at the middle pistil of the Lotus Peak of the South Mounain Hengshan Mountain. In front of the temple, there is a river, on the left of temple, there is the Shi Jian Pool, the water of fountain flows over stones, forming the waterfall and pouring into the pool which is too deep tot see the bottom, and the sound just likes the toll of bell. Here the mountain range is elegant and beautiful in the quiet and deep situation, whenever the tourists visit, they will have the feeling of ¡°quiet and deep¡±, therefore the predecessor had the saying ¡°You will never know its deep without arriving at Fangguang¡±. The characteristic of Fang Guang is: The deep temple, the deep mountain, the deep forest, and the profound culture origin.
Around Fangguang Temple, there are eight peaks such as the Lotus Peak, the Lion peak, the Heaven Platform Peak, the White Clouds Peak, the Miaogao Peak and so on, the numerous peaks encircle like the lotus petal, the temple just hide in the center of lotus, which is circles by the winding water and with the shield of jungle. |
